AC Shadows Reveals Bizarre Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a surprising crossover event that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Uncovered
According to the formal release, "A strange confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where rumors of banned rituals and fearsome changes echo through the darkness." The plot presents a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who charges the pair with traveling into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her ally from a clandestine group.
The questline focuses on "peculiar trials and a monstrous adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, likely the captive, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Unique Items and Additional Material
Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an unique katana in addition to multiple objects hidden throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features in-store Attack on Titan item packs, including:

This update also adds the game's newest complimentary story content, titled "A Puzzlement."
